I am an educator and research mathematician with a specialization in data science, including data analytics, search, visualization, storage, and administration.<\/p>\n
This website contains some information about research<\/a> I worked on in the field of computational and applied topology. You can also find links to some materials I created while teaching at UC Davis and Hunter College.<\/p>\n For my dissertation<\/a>, I built triangulated high-dimensional objects (simplicial complexes) that have interesting properties and then used them as test objects to improve heuristic algorithms in topological software.<\/p>\n I was an Arthur J. Krener Assistant Professor of Mathematics<\/a> at the University of California, Davis<\/a>\u00a0from 2015-2017. I have a PhD (technically a Dr.rer.nat<\/a>) from TU Berlin<\/a>. My doctoral studies were supported by the\u00a0Berlin Mathematical School<\/a>. My doctoral supervisors were\u00a0Frank Lutz<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0John Sullivan<\/a>. Konstantin Mischaikow<\/a> was also on my dissertation committee. I have been advised by Michael Joswig<\/a>,\u00a0G\u00fcnter Ziegler<\/a>,\u00a0Bruno Benedetti<\/a>, and\u00a0Carsten Lange<\/a>.<\/p>\n I also worked as the Education Program Lead on the Customer Success team at Chronosphere<\/a> and an Education Architect on the Certification & Training team at Elastic<\/a>! I built technical customer education courseware for both live instruction and self paced eLearning and certification programs.<\/p>\n
